Upcoming Engine Updates - Before vs After

Over the  past few weeks the terrain rendering has had a big facelift in regards to use of normal maps, splat maps and general overhaul of how blending works.  On top of that, Specular maps were added to assets to improve effects of reflected light on the models.   

There is still a lot to do, but this is the first cut of the updated Wake Island with the new rendering features.  The tooling took some time to update but you can see detail is increased significantly, and some rendering artifacts in the old engine have been fixed/resolved.

These versions are literally a month apart.  Before Vs After, use the right click and open in new tab to see the differences.
